US filmmaker James Longi holds masterclass at Cinema Verite

American documentarian James Longi has held an online master class at the 14th Cinema Verite, Iran International Documentary Film Festival.

During the master class that was held on the sidelines of the 2020 edition of the event, the acclaimed filmmaker answered the following questions:

• Why do you make films in war zones?
• What advice can you give about editing a film?
• What message do you have for young filmmakers?
• How do you write screenplays for your films?

He had previously participated in the second edition of the Cinema Verite.

The Cinema Vérité is running in different sections, including National, International, and Martyr Avini Prize, Entrepreneurship Documentary Competition, Coronavirus Special Section, Side Sections and commemorations.

The 14th Cinema Verite kicked off online on December 15 and will be running until December 22 in Tehran.
